But we understand that it still could be to expensive for some families, that is why we have created two types of scholarship.

1. Duncan McPhee Music Scholarship,

This scholarship is designed to help Teen Journey participant fulfeel his/her music related dream.

Duncan Paul McPhee, May 23, 1985 – January 20, 2008

For his entire life Duncan was surrounded by music.  He was born into a family of musicians, both his parents being performers.  It was not uncommon for Duncan to sit in the family’s music room during band rehearsals, absorbing all he could.  At a very early age he decided he was going to be a guitar player and built his first guitar out of Lego.  Even though it wasn’t playable, you knew he wasn’t going to stop there.  Over the next several years he became very proficient on the electric guitar – coached by his dad, and often other talented friends.  Duncan was able to master his favourite songs quickly.  His influences ranged from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Metallica.  He was passionate about playing and loved to share it with family and friends.  His passion lives on in others who were taught and inspired by him, and in his father, Al, mother, Christie, brother, Sean, and cousin, Reid, who will continue to make music in his memory forever.

2. Teen Journey Scholarship,

This is financial aid for teens who want to participate in Teen Journey program but the student and family’s financial situation is preventing from doing it. This scholarships will cover portion of Teen Journey fee.
