TJ 2012 » Location

Salish Lodge is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast near Gibsons, B.C. Canada. Our private camp, reserved exclusively for Teen Journey, is located within a larger camp (Camp Byng), on 85 hectares (210 acres) of forested camping area with about 1200 meters (about ¾ of a mile) of ocean foreshore. The property is primarily forested land with lots of nature trails to explore, and beachfront to enjoy.

Salish Lodge has a large common room with a fireplace where most indoor activities and workshops will take place. It has a dining room, a smaller lounge, and a fully-equipped kitchen for our crew to prepare delicious meals. There are two washrooms in the lodge, each with a shower.

Near Salish Lodge there are 10 ‘sleeping hulls’, each of which sleeps 6 people. These are very basic sleeping areas (bare floors) and teens will need to bring mats and sleeping bags. Adjacent to the sleeping hulls is a washroom building with flush toilets, sinks and showers.

Salish Lodge also has it’s own designated campfire circle, which will be lit-up each night for drumming, story-telling and sharing circles.
